An off-kilter love song, dancing complexity around simplicity in ever-broadening arcs, it merges twitchy narrative verses with romantic choruses full of ebullient strings, Caribbean trumpet and remembered jazz memes. Memories peppered with signature tunes but alive with their own nervy melodies. This time, imagine Mick Karn and Gentle Giant sitting in at a bustling Havana jazz club. Or perhaps Frank Zappa, but a Frank stripped entirely of his cynicism: dancing with a rose in his teeth and a wicked loving glint in his eye, but with his love of sudden musical shifts and roguish key jumps as intact as ever. All of this is put together with project leader JP Rossi’s usual attention to fine detail, classical rigour and urgent austerity… this time, though, with an excited romantic heart straining hard against his ribs.

lyrics
I saw you standing firm at the opening of the curtain of the first scene
Your hands laid on a sword with self-assurance, a light smile on your face
You turned your face to me, I saw your eyes true, I saw a room with a view
And I looked back at you, and we both fell through the air
I do remember the feeling, it’s me now, it’s me now
I do remember the feeling, it’s me now, part of me now
In a dinner chez Alcide, came the unveiling of the third eye pellucid
Uncovering our lives, we were comprehending, we spent hours sharing
We were just tuning in a deep understanding, much beyond hunger and thirst
A meadow with no barrier, it was a feeling for ever.
With all of those moments of love and hate, moments that seal my fate
With all of those feelings, you unlock my heart, now I embrace the world
And I do remember the feeling, it’s me now, it’s me now
I do remember the feeling, it’s me now, part of me now
I do remember the feeling, it’s me now
I do remember the feeling, it’s me now
I do remember the feeling, it’s me now
I do remember the feeling, it’s a part of me now
With all of those moments of love and hate, moments that seal my fate
With all of those feelings, you unlock my heart, now I embrace the world
And I do remember the feeling, it’s me now
And I do remember the feeling, it’s me now, part of me now
I do remember the feeling, it’s me now
I do remember the feeling, it’s me now, part of me now
